Terms and Conditions

Summary of terms relating to your order, subscription, cancellations, refunds and returns:

  • Subscription purchases will be billed monthly (or at the frequency prescribed on your My Account page), on the anniversary of your first payment.
  • Subscription boxes will be dispatched within 48 hours after payment for that order has been received.
  • Subscriptions can be cancelled or paused or adjusted at any time by visiting the “Subscriptions” tab on your “My Account” page or by emailing us at hello@thebox42.co.uk.
  • A pause or cancellation of your subscription will only be effective as of the next billing cycle (i.e. we will dispatch any boxes for which payment has been received, but you will not be billed again).
  • If you have been charged but would like a refund, we will immediately process a full refund for any box that has not yet been dispatched. If your box has already been dispatched, we accept returns for 30 days after shipping. To request a refund or return, just let us know.
  • Resumed or reactivated subscriptions are effective as of the next anniversary of your first payment with Box42 (i.e. you will be billed on the next monthly anniversary of your first Box42 subscription payment, and your box will be shipped soon after)

  • As some of our boxes may contain age restricted items, by making a purchase on our website you confirm you are 18+ years old.

FULL TERMS AND CONDITIONS

These Terms of Use constitute a legally binding agreement made between you, whether personally or on behalf of an entity (“you”) and “Box42 Dates Ltd”, a UK limited company registered at Ground Floor, 2 Woodberry Grove, London N12 0DR trading under the name “Box42” (“Company“, “we”, “us”, or “our”), concerning your access to and use of the https://thebox42.co.uk website as well as any other media form, media channel, mobile website or mobile application related, linked, or otherwise connected thereto (collectively, the “Site”). You agree that by accessing the Site, you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by all of these Terms of Use. 

PRODUCTS

All products are subject to availability, and we cannot guarantee that items will be in stock. We reserve the right to discontinue any products at any time for any reason. Prices for all products are subject to change.

PURCHASES AND PAYMENT

We accept the following forms of payment:

–  American Express

– PayPal (only for one-off boxes)

You agree to provide current, complete, and accurate purchase and account information for all purchases made via the Site. You further agree to promptly update account and payment information, including email address, payment method, and payment card expiration date, so that we can complete your transactions and contact you as needed. All payments shall be in British Pounds.

You agree to pay all charges at the prices then in effect for your purchases, and you authorize us to charge your chosen payment provider on a monthly basis for any such amounts upon placing your order. As your order is subject to recurring charges, you consent to our charging your payment method on a recurring basis without requiring your prior approval for each recurring charge, until such time as you cancel the applicable subscription. We reserve the right to correct any errors or mistakes in pricing, even if we have already requested or received payment.

We reserve the right to refuse any order placed through the Site. We may, in our sole discretion, limit or cancel quantities purchased per person, per household, or per order. These restrictions may include orders placed by or under the same customer account, the same payment method, and/or orders that use the same billing or shipping address. We reserve the right to limit or prohibit orders that, in our sole judgment, appear to be placed by dealers, resellers, or distributors.

To place an order through the Site you must be at least 18 years old.

RETURNS, CANCELLATION & REFUNDS POLICY

One-off orders are treated identically to a subscription that is immediately cancelled after purchase, and the same terms and conditions apply.

Your Box42 monthly subscription will be billed monthly on the anniversary of your first purchase of the subscription. Your box will be dispatched within 48 hours following successful receipt of payment, and monthly thereafter (i.e. 48 hours after successful receipt of recurring payment) provided your subscription is still active on the payment date (i.e. anniversary of first purchase).

If you wish to pause or cancel your monthly subscription, you can do so at any time via the Subscriptions tab on the My Account page. Any cancellations or pauses of your subscription will be effective as of the next billing cycle. This means that when you cancel or pause your subscription, you will not be charged again while your subscription remains paused/cancelled. Nevertheless, any orders for which payment has already been received will continue to be processed and dispatched as normal. 

When resuming your subscription, you will again be billed again only on the next anniversary of your original subscription purchase date. Your next box will be shipped within soon thereafter. If your subscription is not active on a specific anniversary date of your first purchase, you will not be billed and you will not receive a box for that billing cycle.

Box42 operates a flexible returns and refunds policy. If you have been billed for an order, you can request a refund by contacting us via the contact us form on our website, or by emailing us at hello@thebox42.co.uk. If your box has not yet shipped, we will immediately cancel your order upon request, and provide a full refund. If you would like to return a box which has already been dispatched, you can do so at anytime within 30 days from the dispatch date. We will provide a full refund to the original method of payment, upon receipt of the returned product. We reserve the right to refuse refunds for boxes which are not complete or in their original state. We do not reimburse the cost of shipping returns of Box42 products.

PRIVACY POLICY

We care about data privacy and security. Please review our Privacy Policy. By using the Site or the Marketplace Offerings, you agree to be bound by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms of Use. Please be advised the Site and the Marketplace Offerings are hosted in the United Kingdom. If you access the Site or the Marketplace Offerings from any other region of the world with laws or other requirements governing personal data collection, use, or disclosure that differ from applicable laws in the United Kingdom, then through your continued use of the Site, you are transferring your data to the United Kingdom, and you expressly consent to have your data transferred to and processed in the United Kingdom.

MODIFICATIONS AND INTERRUPTIONS

We reserve the right to change, modify, or remove the contents of the Site at any time or for any reason at our sole discretion without notice. However, we have no obligation to update any information on our Site. We also reserve the right to modify or discontinue all or part of the Marketplace Offerings without notice at any time. We will not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, price change, suspension, or discontinuance of the Site or the Marketplace Offerings.

We cannot guarantee the Site and the Marketplace Offerings will be available at all times. We may experience hardware, software, or other problems or need to perform maintenance related to the Site, resulting in interruptions, delays, or errors. We reserve the right to change, revise, update, suspend, discontinue, or otherwise modify the Site or the Marketplace Offerings at any time or for any reason without notice to you. You agree that we have no liability whatsoever for any loss, damage, or inconvenience caused by your inability to access or use the Site or the Marketplace Offerings during any downtime or discontinuance of the Site or the Marketplace Offerings. Nothing in these Terms of Use will be construed to obligate us to maintain and support the Site or the Marketplace Offerings or to supply any corrections, updates, or releases in connection therewith.

CORRECTIONS

There may be information on the Site that contains typographical errors, inaccuracies, or omissions that may relate to the Marketplace Offerings, including descriptions, pricing, availability, and various other information. We reserve the right to correct any errors, inaccuracies, or omissions and to change or update the information on the Site at any time, without prior notice.
